WHAT TO EXPECT AND HOW TO REACH ME
Appointment and Cost Information
In order to set up the first appointment, potential clients (including those referred) are requested to send a message (see adjacent column or below), or telephone the therapist and leave a voice mail (613-635-2127). Sending a message is the preferred way of initial contact.
During initial communications, the therapist will let the potential client know the fee, what he or she can bring to the first session (e.g., a copy of a dream), and give any details about arriving at the first appointment.
At the first consultation, the process of psychotherapy and Jungian analysis can be explored, discussed, and discernment made regarding moving forward with a weekly analytical hour at a regular time.
The weekly fee for the analytic hour (50 minutes) is paid in cash or cheque at the beginning or end of each analytical hour. Arrangements can also be made to e-transfer the fee before the first session.
A receipt is given at the end of each month, although other arrangements can also be made.
At least three months notice will be given for an increase in the weekly fee.
24-hour notice is required for any appointment cancellations. If adequate notice is not given, the client will be billed and expected to pay for the session before the next appointment.
Regarding inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, phone sessions can be discussed and arranged. Similar arrangements for sudden or prolonged illnesses can also be reviewed.
To proceed with psychotherapy, at the beginning of the first appointment, a client information sheet and consent form are reviewed, filled out, discussed, and signed. This information is confidential, and will be kept as part of a client’s clinical record.
